Topic

PSE&G is responsible for the construction of the transmission towers along 45 miles of an existing Right of Way from the Pennsylvania border to their Roseland Switching Station.  PPL Electric Utilities is constructing the Pennsylvania part of the line.

The project had unique construction constraints due to terrain and wetlands.  At times, helicopters were utilized to demolish existing towers and for the construction of the new towers.  Helicopters also played a vital role in support services.  Integrating helicopters into the project required additional health and safety and expertise not usually associated with electrical upgrade projects.

Attend the meeting on April 22nd to hear Randy discuss the S-R project and the unique health and safety challenges encountered on this ground breaking project.

ABOUT THE SPEAKER

Randy Koncelik, a project manager with the transmission group at PSE&G for 20 years, has been managing the Susquehanna-Roseland 500 kV Upgrade project.
